President Donald Trump erroneously refers to Alabama coach Nick Saban as Lou Saban – USA TODAY

President Donald Trump erroneously referred to Alabama coach Nick Saban as “Lou Saban” while endorsing ex-Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville for Senate.

SportsPulse: As Christine Brennan points out, the Ivy League’s decisions have often been a tell tale sign for all college sports and it’s time to prepare for a fall without college football.
USA TODAY
President Donald Trump might not have endeared himself to Alabama Crimson Tide fans while endorsing former college football coach and current U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Tuberville.
And it’s not because Tuberville was once the head football coach for Alabama’s biggest rival.
On an election eve conference call with Tuberville — who was endorsed by Trump for Tuesday’s runoff against Jeff Sessions for the Republican nomination for the Senate — Trump mixed politics with sports and the results were hilarious.
The football portion of the conference call went sideways when Trump talked up Tuberville’s record at Auburn against rival Alabama.
“Really successful coach,” Trump said of Tuberville, according to AL.com. “Beat Alabama, like six in a row, but we won’t even mention that.”
Then, Trump possibly meant to reference Alabama’s current iconic coach, except …
“As he said … because of that, maybe we got ‘em Lou Saban,” Trump said. “… And he’s great, Lou Saban, what a great job he’s done.”
Lou Saban, who enjoyed a vagabond half-century existence as a football coach, passed away in 2009. He was 0-1 as a college head coach in games against Alabama, with his Miami Hurricanes on the wrong end of a 36-0 defeat to Bear Bryant’s Tide team in 1977.
Nick Saban, Alabama’s actual coach, has led the Crimson Tide to five national championships. Saban split his two meetings against Tuberville-coached Auburn in 2007-08. From 1999-2008, Tuberville went 7-3 against Alabama, including a six-game win streak in the Iron Bowl from 2002-07.
Lou Saban was the first head coach in Patriots history, and went on to lead the Buffalo Bills to consecutive American Football League championships in 1964-65. He also coached at multiple levels of college football, in the Arena Football League, as well as at the high school level.
Lou Saban also delivered one of the most famous lines ever captured by the cameras of NFL Films: “They’re killing me, Whitey. They’re killing me!”

According to the web site Madden-School.com, the Indianapolis Colts top ten players Madden 21 ratings have already been leakedalthough the popular pro football video game does not officially release until August 28, 2020:
Indianapolis Colts
Quenton Nelson 94
T.Y. Hilton 87
DeForest Buckner 87
Anthony Castonzo 85
Ryan Kelly 85
Justin Houston 85
Marlon Mack 85
Darius Leonard 85
Malik Hooker 82
Philip Rivers 82
The ratings of a number of Colts rookies have already been unveiled as well including Jonathan Taylor (73), Michael Pittman Jr. (71), Dezmon Patmon (64), and Jacob Eason (63)who also has the games 7th highest QB throw power, among them.
Now, I know what youre already going to say before you say it: Madden hasnt been that fun in years and needs to dramatically improve their franchise modeand you know, youre certainly not wrong.
That being said, its the dog days of summer. Were a little over two weeks from training camp during an ongoing pandemicand this makes for a nice conversation pieceif nothing else.
In general, the ratings for the Colts top ten players seem relatively fair.
However, Quenton Nelson should really be nothing less than a 98 overall, and both DeForest Buckner and Darius Leonard belong in the 90+ overall ratings in my opinion respectivelyas a pair of reigning NFL All-Pros.
Id also be interested to know where Braden Smith is exactlywho at least belongs in the mid-80s as far as an overall ratingeven with Madden sometimes being stingy in its player evaluation.
While were all hoping that Madden actually improves the game play and franchise mode this year, the ratings for each years Colts team are always interesting to see (and potentially argue with). This year is no different regarding the franchises top players.
